The Lents/Brentwood-Darlington Weed & Seed brings together partners, leverages resources, and focuses efforts on the communities of Lents and Brentwood-Darlington. Our funding has been used to support the following efforts:

• Development of a transportation coalition
• New Bicycle Clubs at local elementary schools
• School field trips and bus passes for middle and high school students
• Volunteer stipends for middle school “Ambassadors”
• Project Learn equipment purchases
• Van purchase to transport youth
• Gang Prevention outreach activities
• Supplies to support the Back-To-School, Safety, and Winter Warming Fairs
• SMART Moves program enhancements
• Kareoke Club equipment and materials
• Southeast Community Court tools and equipment purchases
• Southeast Community Court Social Services Case Manager fees
• Southeast Community Court Legal Assistant fees
• Police Overtime for conducting “Missions” in our target area
• Equipment purchases to support PPB East and Southeast Precincts
• Training and educational opportunities for Steering Committee Members
• Site Coordinator, office space, and miscellaneous office needs.
