The southeast Portland neighborhoods of Lents and Brentwood-Darlington received official designation as a “Weed and Seed” site in February 2000. Comprehensive, multi-agency efforts are now in place to “weed-out” drugs, gangs, and crimes and to “seed-in” positive programs in our target areas.

The Lents/Brentwood-Darlington Weed & Seed works to develop partnerships, leverage resources, and focus efforts in Lents and Brentwood-Darlington utilizing the strategies of:

• Law Enforcement
• Community Policing
• Prevention/ Intervention/ Treatment
• Neighborhood Restoration

Residents and individuals that serve Lents and Brentwood-Darlington are encouraged to attend and participate in monthly Steering Committee Meetings the third Tuesday of each month (dinner provided, childcare upon request).
